Finding Dimes

I've decided to post every time I find a dime. I started finding dimes in random places about a year ago after my hairdresser told me she had been finding dimes. The strange and sometimes common places I have found dimes include: the kitchen sink, inside the refrigerator, on my lap while driving, on a just made bed, middle of the bedroom floor after vacuuming, next to my bar stool at a restaurant, on the kitchen countertop under papers, on the car seat, 3 on the car floor, laundry area, parking lots, living room floor, bedroom doorway and the trunk of the car. These are some of the places I have found dimes. I started putting them in a jar on the window sill above the kitchen sink with a little note about where I found the dime. Yesterday, 10/10/06 (interesting date) , I found 3 dimes in a line on the floor of my closet. I had made an appointment with my hairdresser ( the one who told me about her dimes) earlier in the day. There are many theories about what these dimes mean. Let me know where you find your dimes and who told you about it for the first time.

I started finding dimes about a month & 1/2 ago and I felt a little crazy even mentioning it to people. I have found 32 as of this morning and have no idea what the deal is. But it is very creepy!

Hi...
I am wondering if you found out what it means to find dimes. I started finding dimes a few weeks ago. I was curious as to what this might mean, if anything. I, then, googled and found your blog. So, any suggestions?

Its odd but I have been having issues with the other side for years... Have you ever thought that It may be some sort of paranormal act? I dont want to freak you out but I have been searching all over to find the meaning of finding dimes... Thanks for your time I hope to hear from you soon (cutecalliegirl@hotmail.com)

I am still finding dimes and I really don't have any idea what it means. Please continue to post and let us know the strange places you find dimes.

I found several more over the last couple of months. The latest was on the drivers seat of my car as I got in.

Kim, have you maby had someone very close to you pass away? My Father in-law, passed away from cancer 3 years ago. He was only 43 and so full of fun and life. Momma Mac found the first one right under her bum. Hmmm, probably where he would have sat his hand. We have found dimes in the strangest and funniest of places, just when we are down there it is a simple hello, just to let us know hes here. There have been times when I know I just cleaned the whole house and sure enough, time to clean the toilette and guess what. Its like hes laughing at me. Some would say this is a Symbolic ADCs. I think its great and save every single one I find!!!1

My Mother-in-law passed away in January of last year, but I can't remember if the dimes started before or after that. Anyway, the dime that was on the car seat is still there. It seem that I don't see another one until I pick one up. Interesting. A lot of people think it has to do with someone who has passed. I'm not sure..... It would be cool, wouldn't it?

I have been finding dimes for three years, maybe, I can't remember. I never thought to save them until Oct 2005 when we moved into this house.I have one for every month we have lived here. I alway seem to have one for the "next month". The wierdest dime encounter was the dime that fell from a lanai above my head in Lahaina, HI, in Sept. 2005 and landed at my feet. I did not keep that one. The oldest dime I have of the ones I "find" is 1966. The most are from 2006. I found one today, just nicely waiting for me on my daughters fishtank stand, all by it's little old self, which prompted me to do a finding dimes search. I had a dry spell of not finding any dimes for a few months last year, but my son would find them. Now it is back to me. I only find one at time.

I have been finding dimes for several years now. This morning while I was taking a shower, I heard something fall on my bath mat, when I looked down there was a dime. It drives me crazy. I don't know who's doing this or why. I live alone. After I got to my living room this morning, there were 2 more dimes on my carpet in the living room. Does anyone know what this means?

Over the last 2 weeks I have been finding dimes again. Remember the one on the drivers seat of my car? I finally picked it up. The next day I removed my son's booster seat from the back seat and there was a dime. The next day we went to the movies, and on the way in there was a dime in the parking lot. After the movies we went for dinner at a pizza place and my change was 2 dimes. A couple of days later, my sons friends moved the couch in the basement and underneath... there was a dime. So.... since I picked up that dime from my drivers seat I've been on a dime finding spree. Please keep posting.

It is interesting that a dime just fell onto the bathroom floor. Perhaps if we keep posting we will find some kind of common thread that can shed some light on finding dimes.

Peace....
Kim

I am a hairdresser and have been seeing dimes daily and wondered what it meant. One of my coworkers handed me one from my seat as we were leaving the restaurant and then the next day another coworker brought me change from lunch and there were four dimes left on my station.I have finally got a good contract on my house and a good tax refund. My daughter suggested it was about tithing. It is a tenth! Any more ideas?

I know this is an old blog, but have also been searching for the meaning. It started a couple months ago and it wasnt till about the 4th or 5th time I realized it was only dimes. Maybe 1, but also 3 & 4 at a time. I had recently dated a man that had lost his wife a year ago and thought maybe? perhaps... nah. It has slowed down a bit lately but I'm still finding them. Someone help figure this out. It's driving me crazy. Maybe good fortune

I have had another round of finding dimes. I found one at the formal front door of my house, inside. I went to open the door to provide a cross ventilation on a warmer Fall afternoon. There it was between the inside door and the screen door. A few days later, my mother, Aunt, and I had breakfast at a small restaurant. My mother opened her wallet to pay the bill and a dime jumped out onto the table. We then told my Aunt about finding dimes. She called me yesterday to tell me that when she opened her makeup bag to put on her makeup, a dime jumped out and fell on the floor. I found one this morning walking up to my side door in the grass. It was dark brown, as it had been in the dirt for a while. I'll post when I find another.

Thank you to all those who continue to post. Perhaps we will find a connection.

:)Kim

This is amazing! I found more people that have this happening to them too. My grandmother passed away in April of 2002 at the time I was contemplating buying a franchise but was too afraid to make the move. When she died I found myself talking to her in my head asking if I should take out this big loan to open my own business. We were broke at the time, so I felt it was a big risk, to do this. Ever time I spoke to her in my thoughts, I would find a dime that day. I didn't connect the two until I found my ninth dime at our church yard sale. I was helping put things out on display and I saw a red velour bathrobe hanging up. It looked like it had one long sleeve and one short one. I walked over and realized the short one was just pushed up inside of the sleeve, so I pulled it out and a dime fell right in to my hand. This is when I knew something exciting was happening to me. I started squealing and a member of our church asked me what was wrong and I told her all about the dimes. Her eyes got huge and she said, "Do you know what that means?" I shook my head and she said, "It means you are going to be a very wealthy woman. When you find pennies, it bestows good luck on you, but when you find dimes falling from the heavens in odd places at odd times it bestows wealth and propersity on you." I knew at that moment I was suppose to take the loan and buy that franchise, so I did a few weeks later. I bought 3 more of these franchises within 14 months of opening the first one and did become very wealthy. And, guess what, I found a dime in the parking lot on the way to the door of three of these franchises on their opening day. The fourth franchise I found a Susan B. Anthony dollar and have made more money from that franchise than all of them. I taped those coins on the desk in each location and have done some fund raisers in these businesses with dimes. I have several other stories, but will have to share them at another time. Sandra

I've been finding lots of dimes too & after reading all the comments and ideas on the topic, it made me think of a logic reason so many random people are having the same coincidental incidents and think it may be some sign.

But maybe, dimes are so small only a percentage of people actually have a eye for spotting them. Imagine how many other people had passed up the same dime you found?

this is a true story before i got married me and my brother came in from playin basketball in the yard and we where the only two home and there was an arrow made of dimes pointing into his bedroom and they were placed so perfectly that its seems no human could do this and like i say we was the only 2 at home. that was the oddest thing we have found. but if anyone has any info on this feel free to email me at brandonbenwebb23@yahoo.com and still to this day my wife and i still find dimes everywhere and before she met me she says she never found any like this

Glad I found the post. It is a little weird. I catch the bus to work daily and yesterday, I found a dime when going in to work on the bus seat I was sitting on so I held on to it... Soon to be forgotten. Then leaving work I found another dime on the bus in front of my seat when I was getting ready to leave and so gave it to the bus driver. When I got home and was putting my keys into the front door I noticed a dime on my doormat and put it into my coat pocket. I didn't put it all together till this morning when I felt the dime still in my jacket and realized that I found 3 dimes in one day. Talking about strange. Then I started thinking that perhaps it was some kind of message since this was too much of a coincidence... 10 days, the 10th, 30 days, chosen, message from beyond. Am thankful for finding this blog and knowing that I'm not the only one but it sure is strange. It seems like they were purposely left so I would find them but why? Perhaps, I'm just reading a little too much into this.

Hello,
I have been finding dimes for about 5 years now since I moved to a new community. My sister passed away in 1996 and when I moved here she came to me in a dream and said "I will help you" then I started finding dimes in odd and regular places and when I would tell people around me they would start to find dimes also.
I had been finding dimes and I putting them in the bottom of my purse.
One day I received a message about a job interview and then I got into my car and I placed my purse on the passenger side seat and the purse was open and I saw into the bottom of my purse a cluster of three dimes on one side of my purse. This told me that I would get the job which I did. I found dimes on the way to the grocery store, on a photo copier, in the car, at my desk at work, in the emergency room where I work, falling from my car steering wheel,in a puddle, on a end table in my friend's bedroom, a student told me someone threw a dime across his head, and a tole booth person walked in front of my car the other day and she bent over to pick up a dime,my friend later found one in a candle at a restaurant. I find that they appear when something special is going on in my life and after I tell people about it then find them also.

I used to find pennies in the strangest places when I wkd. for a girl whos Mom's name was "Pennie". I use to take good care of her daughter and took my job very serious, found pennies all of the time,it def. resmbld her Mom "Pennie,a sort of "Thank you" for treating her Daughter so well and her school too.Since I have left that job,I DON'T find Penniesat all!NOW,since we have decided to move back to Ohio,I am finding so many dimes,in the strangest of places,it feels like a spirit telling me to be at peace somehow...my husbands father passed away @ 10 months ago, just in the last 1 1/2 months or so.Sweeping under the register and it pops out with the swifter, this is after I Found one on my car seat heads up looking at me... I was in line to pay for my stuff and I had a bag of change & my mac card,I needed to spend 10.00 to use the card and there was a line behind me,I said I will be right back, went out to count my bag of change,I used EVERY LAST coin to pay for it,went in,got my stuff and came back, there was a dime,on my seat-looking at me. When I find them, they are on heads... I folded my Daughters pants and out flipped a dime,no more, just a dime. I found one in Home Depot standing there with my husband,it was right in between us. I find them looking straight up at me,face first & straight. It feels very obvious, strange, yet, good.I am feeling comforted by the dimes, since we are moving back to the mid-west from the East,I am very anxious & a bit sad,my family(Mom & Bro.) r here. So I am trying to make sense of it all, trying to understand how I feel about the move and the dimes,LOL! Sounds like a lot of good "spirits" out there,or maybe a lot of jeans in need of a pocket mender, what do you think? This blog site was fun to read... Glad I am not crazy for thinking this...

Hi Tony,

We haven't figured out what finding dimes in random places means yet. As more people post perhaps we will see a common thread. Please let us know how and where your dimes turn up.

Good luck,

Hi, not sure if this blog is still on going, so anyway just wanted to say that my daughter keeps having dimes thrown at her and sometimes they drop from the ceiling in her house. She moved there about a year ago with her boyfriend. It usually happens when she is alone in a room, so no one is actually throwing them at her. She feels it is her grandmother (my mom who past away in 1993). She was very close to her grandmother when she was a child. We really don't know why this is happening. I asked her if she saved any of the dimes or noted the dates. She said no, so after her telling me about what was happening to her with the dimes, I also found some dimes laying around my house in places I knew there wasn't any before. I kept the dimes in a small jar in my kitchen, but one day my son came in looking for some change and emptied my jar of dimes, I think there were about 11 dimes in that jar in a span of about 6 months.

So its been awhile since I have been on this page... I have recently been contacted by two individuals that have had similar experiences. I almost forgot that I had posted on this site! The problem is as it always is... when I call it, it stops. When I was younger as crazy as it sounds, I was constantly hounded by the other side. Mainly in the form of tapping or having actual visualiations. When I would try to tell my grandma (whom raised me) it would stop. I have this what im not sure is a curse or a blessing that when I "speak too soon" things seem to cease. My finding dimes deal has not ended completly I still get lucky and see them from time to time but I will tell you, if this is happening to you... embrace it. Dont let it scare you or make you think your crazy. There are so many things in this life that make everyone the same, think about how special you are. Not everyone has someone around them to constantly remind them of their love. I truly believe that these dimes are from our past loved ones... but do the dimes themselfs hold deeper meaning? I have dabbled in everything from palmistry to astrology to tarrot basically anything magic, and numeroligy is something I havnt grazed yet... I will do some more reaserch and let yall know what I find... Good luck to all you dime finders... Just one piece of advice- dont tell someone who is a non believer, it will honestly just eat up your energy and make you less suseptable to future events... if you know what i mean... -Saundra

I have been finding dimes most of my 45 years of life. I notice that I find them when I have done something good for someone or am doing something good for myself.
I always smile when I find them and feel a little more relaxed and reassured that I'm headed in the right direction in life.I also feel a rush of being loved also.

My son died 3 and a half years ago and I started finding dimes right away. I knew immediately that they were signs from him. I had never heard about others finding dimes before. Other people who were close to him started finding them as well. The best dime I have ever found was at the hospital when my best friend was dying. This was on May 31 2008. On the way to the hospital, I told my son to come with us because she was not going to make it. My husband said, "Don't worry. He is already there." After being in the hospital room with her, I went out into the hall and was talking with her family. Right outside her room was a yellow "caution when wet" sign. They must have washed the floors recently and I could see something under the sign. I thought it was a mark on the flooring and then I realized it was a dime. I went over and picked it up. It gave me so much peace to know that my son was there with us. My girlfriend died the next morning.

I'm a dime finder also. About four months ago it started. I just started a new job about 4 months before in another town 190 miles away. This has me travelling between towns on the weekends. I have felt bad about leaving my husband and 17 yr. old daughter but we're managing well. My daughter left for college in another state this summer and will be full time in the fall, so then my husband will be moving out here to join me. All of this has been playing on my mind and I kept questioning if I made the right decision about leaving my job of 22 years, can we afford a new house, and can we afford sending my daughter out of state to college. Then the dimes started. I found them in the washer, in the car, on a table. But the weirdest ones have been in a shoe that I was taking off (it happened to be my daughter's that I was borrowing and had worn on an errand), in the lobby of the new building I'm working in and just last Sat. night as I was getting out of the truck to get ice cream with my husband. We had parked in a neighboring tire dealership because of the crowds at the ic stand. I stepped out and looked down to something small, round & shiny. Almost afraid to see if it was a dime, I called my husband over and we both watched as I bent down to pick it up, Yep, sure enough it was a dime. My husband has found two himself and my daughter is finding them also. She just called from college to tell me she went into one of her classrooms and her friend pointed to the chair in front of her and asked if that was hers. Here its a dime. I'm taking all of this as positive signs about my job and her going to college from three special angels we have in heaven...my Mom and my In-laws. I believe they are telling me that everything will work out and we'll be happy.

I am totally amazed by how many other people find dimes too. I can't remember how long it has been happening to me, but I have been keeping them separate from my other change for years. Before the dimes when I was much younger I would firnd marbles anywhere. I'm curious to know if anyone else has found marbles as well. In one of my most recent dime encounters I found one under my baby's crib in the hospital right after her birth. I don't know who leaves them for me or the exact significance, but I always feel like my life is on track when I find one. I'm excited to see so many other people with the same dime stories.

So, I am at a very good friends' son's wedding over the weekend. I am wearing a dime around my neck and guess who spots it -- Kim, the original person who started the blog. Kim is Terry's friend and Terry is the good friend whose son's wedding I am attending. Kim tells me about the Dime Blog and I can't even believe it. After my dad passed away, my sister and mother heard the stories about the dimes. I thought they were crazy, but as my sister Moe was telling about the dime story as I was emptying the dryer, guess what, I literally, find a dime before the conversation ends. Several months after my dad passed away, my mom and I went through his personal items. In his drawer, my mom finds his favorite cuff links in a box. In the box, a dime. I am a believer. I was told that the dime is like the person thinking of you - like the phone ringing when you are thinking about them - and yes, in my time, a dime made a phone call. I am a believer. Kim and I are new friends and we have a whole family wearing dimes around our necks.

When I find a dime I look to see which side it is on. If it is on the flame side(the torches) I take that to mean direction. The torches are a trinity, a number of completeness. I know that wherever I was in my mind at the moment I found the dime is something I should consider and know that the creator is listening.
If it is on heads I take that to mean "face it." Face where I am at the moment and except it. I know this may sound silly but since I have been finding dimes for a long time I gave them this significance. I'm glad to know that I am not the only one that finding dimes is weird.

I started finding dimes a few weeks ago a few days after my Mom died. The first was on the floor in the laundry room next to the phone. I used to talk to my mom daily on the phone, usually while I was doing laundry. My mom and I frequently talked while I was doing laundry and she suggested I send my laundry out because I spent an inordinate amount of time in the laundry room.
After finding the first dime I searched the entire floor in the laundry room and no other coins were visible. However, over the next two days I found two more dimes in the laundry room. I did not find any other coins - quarters, nickels, or pennies.
During the first week after my mother's death the electric in the house seemed to be doing funny things. We had some friends over the day after my Mom's death and a light went out in the hallway (I have lived in my house for eight years and never have seen that light out - although I am sure my husband probably has changed the bulb...) What was strange about it was a few minutes later a fuse blew and half the house went dark. We haven't had a fuse blow in my house since we upgraded the electric six years ago. After telling a friend about the electric, she and I decided which ever one of us dies first will send a message to the other through the electric, and to make the message clear it will have to be two electrical signs close together. The next night, this friend and I were watching a movie on TV and the lights were on very dim. When the movie ended, the lights went to very bright on their own. This has never happened before. Neither of us was near the switch and everyone else in the house was asleep. We looked at each other and did not say a word. A few minutes later I went upstairs to the bathroom and turned on the bathroom light but it did not work. This has never happened before in my house. I flipped the switch two times and then the light worked. The next day I told my husband the story, and he said the lights in the kitchen did the same thing earlier in the day - went from dim to bright on their own. He believes it is a coincidence as is the finding of dimes. I asked him if this ever happened before with the lights, and he told me it hadn't.
I went away for a few days and found several more dimes. The first "jumped" out of my change purse when I went to take my license and credit card out...The second was found in a washing machine. The funny thing is I looked in the washing machine and did not see anything, I put my clothes in the washing machine - the clothes were sweatpants (no pockets!), and underwear...When I took my clothes out of the washer I found a dime in the machine. The third dime I found while away was handed to me by my son. I gave my son and daughter $20.00 to go in an order food from a take-out restaurant. When they came out I asked if there was any change - and my son handed me a dime.(I haven't told either of my children about finding dimes.) I stared at the dime and I asked if this was all the change. My daughter said no; when she was given the change a dime fell out and rolled on the floor. My son picked it up and wanted to keep it, but my daughter told him to give it to me. My daughter then handed me the rest of the change (several dollars and assorted coins – no dimes) Now what I find odd about this incident is it was a dime that fell (not a quarter, nickel or penny) and that my son did not give it back to my daughter to hand me with the rest of the change. Maybe I'm reading too much into the incident, however, it just seems odd to me that it is always dimes I am finding.
I returned from my trip yesterday. I clicked the garage door opener and my garage opened. After we unloaded the car, I went to close the garage door and it wouldn’t close. I noticed the light was no longer on in the garage. I went over to the fuse box and the fuse blew. ????

I'm finding dimes again. I went to my best friend (of 40 years) mothers funeral in June 2008. The morning of the wake I noticed a dime on the floor next to my suitcase. I didn't pick it up. The next day was the funeral. As I got into the back seat of my friends car, there was a dime on the seat. I put it in my purse. That night we watched a movie, talked, and stayed up until the wee hours of the morning. The lights in the were doing strange things and my friend asked me if I would wait with her while she folded the laundry in the laundry room. I took that opportunity to tell her about the dimes I found over the last couple of days. The next thing you know, our eyes are drawn to a little shinny object on the floor across the room as if by a magnet. We looked at each other in disbelief. Sure enough it was a dime. Over the next few days, my friend found several more dimes in the laundry room. The laundry room happened to be the place she had the majority of phone conversations with her mother. After we were sure there were no additional dimes in the room, I just happened to lift up an item on a shelf in the laundry room and voila, a dime! When I went home, I continued to find dimes. One underneath the backseat of my car, one on the floor of my bedroom, and the strangest one of all was at a wedding. I was seated next to a woman wearing a dime necklace!

Thank you to everyone posting, please continue to tell us your dime stories!

Hello all,

I too am a dime finder and believer. Here is my story!
About four years ago my best friend's mother died of alcoholism. I was extremely close to this woman, and had a very difficult time excepting her premature loss, she was only 49. On the day after her death I returned home to my empty house, and in a state of grief started screaming and crying...yelling at her for all the pain she had caused her family and I. Within seconds the power for the entire apartment cut off. I immediately knew she had heard me (she and I often teased about haunting each other if she were to die). I never had to go to the fuse box.. I simply just turned the TV back on and acknowledged her...

Four months after her death I was still struggling in many ways. My father and I had become estranged...due to his own alcoholism, and I was very upset and confused.

On April 12th I stepped into the shower and while washing my face felt what I initially thought was a "spider" fall down my leg. When I looked down I saw a shiny penny at the bottom. I returned to washing my face when I felt the "spider" return. I looked down and there was a dime next to my foot.
11 cents. I have always been in touch with paranormal and immediately knew these were gifts. But the significance was yet to be discovered. To make a long story short. The number 11 became a huge theme in my life. I found out that her and my father (her best friend) were born eleven days apart and more importantly That on April 11th (one day before the coins) my father had entered rehab for his own alcoholism.
She is with me everyday and I would love to share more stories!

not sure if the number 10 has anything to do with it but i was also born at 10:10AM on 10/10. (my name is Joey and J is also the 10th letter)

I don't know how long this comment will stay. But for all you guys that wonder what this means ... I'll share. I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. When I first got saved, there was a lot of confusion coming against me. I didn't know what the enemy was telling me and what God was telling me. I told the Lord that I didn't want to 'miss' Him by following the wrong voice. I started finding dimes. And when I would pick them up, the Lord would speak a scripture to me from Isaiah 30 that says that you'll hear a voice behind you saying, this is the way, walk ye in it. He was telling me when I was going where he wanted me to and doing what He wanted me to do ... that He was with me and that I was on the right path. It just might be that the Lord is trying to speak to you guys, too, for He is no respector of persons.

Hi My name is Misty and I have been finding dimes for a couple of weeks on my daily run. When I discussed it with my daughters I went to change a load of clothes in the washer and after I had emptied the machine there were 5 dimes in the bottom of it! I heard it could be a loved one whom had passed, so it makes me wonder who it could be. My close family is all still living.

This is so weird, to find other people that find dimes everywhere. My google search lead me to this site as well as others. It seems that a "Dime Piece" is a good looking person. Gay men refer to good looking men as "dime pieces". A "Dime Piece" can also be a good looking women as well. There me be a club of individuals that single out a particular person and invade that persons life. Their calling card is leaving a dime behind in a spot that it is likely to be found.

Hello everyone I also have been finding dimes for 3yrs already !! did not know the meaning until now. The meaning of number 10 deals with returning to our center, coming full circle.ten holds a vibration of unity,as well a fresh start.( whatever we sew we shall reap in other words what comes around goes around) beginning ,outcome, first step, lost opportunities coming your way that you once thought were lost to you .regained, things we thought we should not or could not do are beginning to resurface, brunk of change.path of promise . events are coming full circle, cast off the old and dom the new. step into the beginning that is for your greatest good. ten helps your path.

this really helped mein my life knowing about this cause now I know where I stand in life wow....

Wow! What a relief to find that the mystery of dimes is not only amongst my family. My partner Sue died tragically in a motorcycle accident 6 months ago(today). Since her death, my 12 year old daughter has been finding dimes in odd places, all by themselves. She and Sue were very close and she has missed her dearly. When the dimes began showing up, she remarked having a feeling that they were from Sue because every time she would find one, she would think of her. What a blessing to have confirmation that the likely source of this phenomenon is the unending love of a friend remiding us that we are never without her.

Wow thank you for leaving this post!! What an interesting phenomenon! I'm also finding dimes all over the place. Just today I opened the washer door at the laundromat and a dime came out of no where and dropped on the floor in front of me. It didn't even come from the washer.. just out of no where!! The dimes started almost a year ago now and I have collected about a dozen so far. Does anyone know the meaning behind this? I'm thinking its my guardian angel.. not sure. Gonna do some searches on the internet.

I too have been finding dimes for a couple of years.I made myself believe it was a bad sign.I started finding them when I was 39 years old.My mother died when she was 49 add 10(dime) years to my 39 and I will be 49.I don't know why I think this way but I do.I actually get upset when I find a dime.I find them everywhere!!!I'll be at work and I work retail. Were always busy so anyone can find the dime, but it's always me.I may just be driving myself crazy I don't keep the dime's in a special place.I really don't even pay attention to where I put them.Since finding this site I will start putting them in my little box.For safe keeping, maybe they are good dimes.Who know's?

Today the strangest thing happened. I decided to change the bedskirt on my king sized bed. On each box spring was a dime in the middle, heads up. I, nor my husband put them there. What does that mean? We lost our son 3 years ago. Could that be a sign?

I have been finding dimes for the last year or so. Today, I found 4 dimes in the buffet restaurant where I get lunch, but in different places. The odd thing is that I usually walk around 3 of 4 food bars before deciding, so had been around the room at least twice before paying. Each dime was in a different part of the room, with the last near the cashier, pushed up against the cashier counter by the floor mat. I just stood there staring at it. The cashier was watching me, but didn't say anything. I almost asked her for her thoughts, but didn't want to look silly.
A few months ago, I found three dimes in the 7-11 - two in the doorway.
I can understand that a message is being relayed, but why, and by whom? If it is a deceased person, what is the dime connection? I have no relatives or close friends who passed recently. The last relative was my father - 6 years on 12/20

Hello, my name is Raine. It is wonderful to read these stories. I have never spoken to anyone of my experience with dimes. Tonight it struck me that I should search the internet just to see if this happened to others. WOW ... what a surprise to find so many. I started finding dimes when I moved into my current house 3 years ago. It took me a few months to realize that we didn't have holes in our pockets. Neither my husband nor my children seem to find the dimes. I have found them in every room, on the stairs, in the washing machine, outside my front door. Most recently I found a dime in my dishwasher. I have collected them all. I don't seem to find dimes in many other places ... mainly my house. I LOVE my home, from the very second I walked in I wanted to live here. I never want to move. Maybe, whatever or whomever leaves the dimes for me, feels the same way. (erj2505@msn.com)

I have been finding dimes for a few years now at least. At first, I thought nothing of it, but they kept appearing, seemingly out of nowhere: on the kitcen floor, the laundry room floor, on my car seat, in the garage, etc. I certainly don't remember dropping any. Yes, I find the occasional nickel and quarter, but the dimes outnumber them a hundred to one. Today, for fun, I decided to google the issue and was shocked to find so many others of you. Just curious, do any of you have weird experiences with electrical or electronic stuff, e.g., appliances, watches stop working for no reason. Don't know if there is a connection. Just thought I'd ask.

Hi there it's nice to see that I am not the only who is experiencing he mysterious dime phenomenon. I started realizing that I was finding dimes maybe 4 or 5 years ago. There is just too many of them not to be a coincidence. I could have been finding them in my early years but being young there are alot of other things that kept me quite occupied.

It's always been one of those things that you will think about for awhile and then it will leave your mind until you find the next one.

It has never been as creepy as them being in a row on the floor or being on the chair that I was just sitting on. The ones I find are always in the most absurd places... For example.

Yesterday night I was cleaning up the spare bedroomm in the apartment and I came across as folder full of wedding ideas. (I have been preparing a scrapbook type binder for my bfs and my wedding). I grabbed the three hole punch and started punching holes in the paper and putting in the binder. I heard a clinking noise so I opened it and in with the confetti, low and behold a dime.

If this phenomenon is supernatural, I do not have any one in my family that has died recently. It's been probably 20 years or so since a death in the family. I am 24 years old now. I would like to think it is my Grandma playing tricks on me but I have no clue as to who or what it might be.

I started finding dimes within days of my mom's death in April 2008. She died unexpectedly after knee surgery of a condition called ARDS. Everyone thought I was nuts of course when I mentioned I kept finding dimes everywhere, but I knew they were her way of communicating with me, telling me she is still with me. I am very spiritual and believe in an after life. My mom had always promised me she would find a way to communicate when her day came.

The most significant dime found in the last couple weeks was on Christmas Eve. I was on my way home from a family party and I just burst into tears in the car. My husband and children were trying to comfort me...it was the first Christmas I was not going to spend with my mom. We pulled into our driveway, me still hysterical, and I opened the door and got out of the car. Well when I did, I dropped my cell phone. My 13 year old daughter bent down to pick it up for me and looked at me with shock and so much sympathy in her eyes. With the pieces of the phone that had broken off when I dropped it, was a dime in the driveway.

I have probably found 50 dimes in the last few months that I KNOW were in strange places and not with random change that I believe are signs from my mom. Why dimes? I have NO idea.

My brother very recently separated from his wife of 21 years and is of course devastated. Just the other night he was at my house out back on the patio smoking a cigarette and walked up the steps to come back into the house. He walked in and said "I can't believe this, but right there on the steps of the patio was a dime." I live in Pennsylvania and it's cold, so we are not often out on the back patio this time of year. My brother who loved to tell me I was crazy with me "dime theory" is even becoming a believer now....

I am totally amazed that I am not alone "Finding Dimes". At 1st, I thought it was simply coincidence, but I've been finding dimes now for, I want to say, 5 years, maybe longer. I have them in a mug. I'm not sure if the dime itself is the message so much as the place it is found being the message or the state of mind and possibly even the decisions faced with at the time of the finding. I suggest the best way to understand the Dime Findings are to keep a log of each finding. Record the date, time, location, weather, major events going on in your life and of course the Dime's Date. You may be surprised to find some type of correlation in your data.

The latest Finds, last night, my Father's Birthday, celebrated out at TGIF's, a dime 1 foot from a quarter under my Mother but the next more exciting find during last night was a dime directly under my Father's seat.

I don’t find nickels, I rarely find quarters, sometimes pennies but Dimes, All The Time.

It’s just a matter of time before someone finds the answer to this. Keep it coming.

My Dad passed away on January 1st, 2009. Since then, I have found nine dimes all at different times. I travel quite a bit in my business and it is almost always while on a trip. I don't look for them, they just show up. I don't know why, but I know somehow that my Dad has something to do with it. He was a musician if there is some kind of common thread with that?

I found my first dime, it was an 1865 dime, when I was a little girl. It just showed up in front of me when I was playing outside. More recently the dimes started showing up everywhere. I had been going through a very troubling time with my teenaged son and was very afraid for him and questioned my ability to help him. The dimes started falling out of the dryer, rolling around in the bottom of my purse and lying around on the floor of my car. I have found dimes in my path while out running, on my bedside rug and have been handed change that consisted entirely of dimes. I have mentioned this to people who seemed skeptical. My daughter finally noticed how often it was happening and now just accepts it. I get a very definite feeling that they are a sign or a message but I am not quite sure of their meaning.

I have been finging dimes for the past 2 years. At first I thought it was just a coincidence. Now I know better. My daughter's best friend died in a car accident. Everytime she comes home from college, the dimes start to appear. Well, yesterday I found 5 in a matter of 1 hr, all in the same area!! She was upset about something the night before and that next morning at work they began to appear. I ALWAYS get my laptop out and put on my desk and work until the students arrive. I returned to my desk several times during that period and dimes started appearing. One was even on the keyboard of my laptop when I returned to my desk. The kids have no access to my desk. As I left school for the day, there were 2 more in my mailbox. I think it is his way of telling me that he is still with us!!!

I have been finding dimes in various places since my husband died 2 years ago. Recently my 8 yr old son was approached by a talent agent who asked him to come in for a screen test. We were standing in line waiting for his test, and I was wondering in mind if my husband would have approved. He was an entertainer, himself. As we moved up the line, I looked down and found a dime. Somehow it just felt like a sign from him that he was watching over us and approved!

I feel like he's watching over me, and I'm very grateful for that! I need it. I hope the dimes you all find bring you the comfort they are intended to bring from beyond!!

My dad passed away in 2007, yet he had not been able to eat or drink since his first surgery in 2004. Over school vacation, I decided to clean out my cupboards and considering no one in my family drinks coffee or tea, I decided to get rid of most of the coffee cups. To my amazement, the very last cup stored way in the back was my father's mug. When I reached for it, I could hear something rattling. Inside were some beautiful iridescent stones and among them were 6 times. My father left behind my mother and 5 children for a total of six. I find this so hard to believe since no one had possibly used that cup for nearly 5 years.

I also have been finding dimes. It started right after my grandma passed and then tapered off a bit. Then after my exhusband died it started up again! A couple of the odd findings were finding one right after I had picked up the livingroom and was getting ready to vaccume and one was on the floor where there wasnt anything before and another while checking out at walmart was sitting up where the gum and stuff is...right on top of a pack. Just weird!

My sister has been finding dimes for about a year now, and we have been trying to figure out what the message is. We know that it is spiritual but can`t figure out what they are trying to say. We had lost our mother about 29 years ago, and our father about 24 years ago. My sister and I had been to a psychic reciently and she asked her about the dimes. She told her that Capricorns and one other sign that I am unsure of are the ones that usually leave dimes, they are money driven zodiac signs. Our father was a Capricorn. But now her one daughter has been finding dimes. And her other daughter and I went to a workshop just the other night about Angels, and I found a dime before going in and she found one when we came out. There definitely has to be some sort of correlation between everyone that is finding these dimes. Since there is a lot of it now going on in my family I will keep an eye out for any similarities between us and post my findings.

For a whole week, I found one dime a day in the exact same spot where I would pass by when coming back in from recess.
It stopped for a while and then this year I started collecting the dimes that I find. I keep them in a music box. I don't know what it means because I haven't really lost anyone in my life...ever.
Any suggestions?

I have been finding dimes for about 3 weeks regularly (always heads-up)! I am beginning to think this is more than a coincidence. Does anyone out there have a true idea, as to what this means? I am starting to feel a little spooked by it...

I have been finding dimes for over a year now. At first it was a normal thing to find a dime lying in the driveway by my car or on the floor of my car. No other coins, it was always just a dime. Until it happened about a dozen times and I realized this is no coincidence. I started finding dimes in strange places also, in places that no one else would be able to find them (nor lose them). I have been at the store a few times when I would unzip the change compartment of my wallet and a dime would just fly out. And once I was in the car with my boys and I moved my purse and we heard something fall behind me. I asked my son to find that dime that I just lost and he said you don't know what it was. He looked under my seat and sure enough it was a dime. There was no doubt in my mind what it was because they just jump at me sometimes. I too have found them in threes. I really wish I could find someone to tell me what they mean. I believe someone is trying to guide me or tell me something about my life (both my parents died young) but I can't seem to figure out what the message is. I too am home alone sometimes and the house will have just been cleaned and then I'll see a dime lying where there was nothing an hour prior.

I can't believe all the things I am reading from everyone about finding dimes in random places. My husband and I started noticing dimes all around our yard, and inside the house in wierd places. Just one laying there by itself. I didn't take notice if it was heads or tails...
Then, this morning my husband was making an english muffin for breakfast and when he lifted the lid of the butter dish-- there was a dime in the butterdish!!!! Then on his way to work he stopped to get a cup of coffee at a gas station, and the cashier gave him 4 dimes back as change.
Finding the dime in the butterdish is the strangest place I have ever heard of finding a dime. I was really freaking out about all these dimes, and now after reading all this I feel a little better. Still wierded out though... there have not been any super recent deaths in our lives. My Grandpa who I was VERY close to and am still in deep mourning for, passed away last October 12th. But my husband and I have been going through a really rough time, he had been layed off from his job for 9 months... and finally got a job last week. This was his first week of work in about 10 months. ..... it's hard to believe all this stuff....
anyone have any thought??

Thank you!!

Hello, this is so interesting. I began finding dimes last year when I was on a cruise with my family. I found 3 dimes in our cabin and forgot all about it until I was speaking to my mom and she said she found 1 dime in my house, 1 dime outside my house and 1 dime in front of her house, all on the same day while I was away. A lot of things went wrong on that vacation, they lost 1 of our luggages, the weather was so bad we couldn't walk on deck, on our way home our plane's door couldn't close so we had to stay overnight and take another flight the next day. The plane the next day was 3 hours behind schedule because of the weather and then they told us they only had room for three (me and my 2 daughters). My husband had to fly on the next flight. When we got to our destination, our plane couldn't land because of the weather, so we circled the sky. We ended up landing safely and so did my husband about 5 minutes after us. They lost "all" our luggage but we were just so happy to finally be home together. I just found dimes last week and today I found dimes. I'm not sure what it means but I can't help but think there is a meaning. Thank you all for sharing your stories and its great knowing I'm not alone.

I have been finding dimes in random places for many years..I heard it meant that a loved one who has passed on is telling you that they are okay. Today I was at work thinking about my father, as tomorrow will be the 9 year anniversary of his death. A song came on the radio that always makes me think of him, and I began to cry, so I went out to my car. When I opened the door I found two dimes on the floor mat. I had just cleaned out my car two days before and shook out the mats, so there was nothing on the floors. I knew right then that my dad was trying to tell me that everything was okay!

I have been finding dimes for almost a year now. They seem to come in spurts. I will find a few, then it stops for awhile, and then it starts again. The one year anniversary of my mother's death is about 2 weeks away and I just had two unusual experiences. I was listening to the radio on the way to work trying to call in to the radio station because it was psychic Friday. The radio station puts a psychic on the line with callers and the callers are able to ask questions. Frequently callers ask about loved ones who have passed. Anyway, I was frantically dialing over and over, but could not get through to the radio station. I wasn't really paying attention to the music on the station, when suddenly I realized I was hearing, "Put another DIME in the juke box, baby..." I stopped dialing and thought that I didn't need the radio station to get in touch with my mom. The next morning I was getting ready for work. While I was sitting at the vanity table brushing my hair(looking in the mirror), I heard a noise. I looked next to my makeup bag on the table and there was a dime. The noise I heard was the dime falling. Falling from where? Your guess is as good as mine...

After I made this post - I went out to dinner. My husband and I had a reservation...I was anxious to go out and we ended up going out about 20 minutes earlier then we planned. When we arrived at the restaurant, our table was not ready yet. There was a long line of people waiting for tables. My eyes were drawn to a man waiting for a table. I felt I knew him from somewhere, but I couldn't remember where. A few minutes later we were given a seat in the crowded restaurant. About 5 minutes after my husband and I were seated, the familiar looking man and a woman were seated next to us. I whispered to my husband that I thought I knew the man. My husband suggested I just ask him who he was and get it over with...I wasn't going to ask the man, however, a few minutes later, he turned toward us and started an innocent conversation. I felt I had an opening; I asked him, "Do I know you?" The man replied, "I am a priest at St. Philips and James Church." (He was NOT wearing a priest's collar/clothing) At once I knew! He was the priest(from my brother's church) who came to the funeral home to say a prayer for my mom and who performed the funeral at the church. Another sign? I think so.

Hi everyone! My name is Tracey R. I have been finding dimes for a quite a while now, I would say it has been about 4 years. I was an alcoholic for almost 19 years and got sober about 4 yrs ago. My brother in law was murdered about 3 months before I got sober.

I was walking down a familiar street,as i turned the corner I found 3 dimes in a row. It all began then. Any other account of finding change meant nothing to me until that day. 3 is a very significant number to me and always has been as well as 7 and 11, so of course I was in wonderment over this. I will find a dime many times when doing a good deed for another, when I am in gratitude, thinking of positive things and when I am in meditative state. There's been so many occasions.

Tonight I was taking a bag of trash outside to put in the can. I have no monies on me and there is no one in sight, suddenly I hear a coin drop next to me. At first it looked to me like a peeny, very dirty and dark. Of course I pick it up and its a dime. When I came in I told my daughter of the occurance and of course she already knows of my other dime findings which always amaze me. I tell Josie to please look up dime meanings on the internet and she found this blog.

Everytime I find a dime or any other money I thank god for this abundance. I know there is a message here. I just need to meditate on why it is. I would like to thank everyone for sharing their stories.

I found one very interesting about tithing, that really struck something in me so I looked up the meaning. It read on one page
"Tithing is a spiritual law. You give of the first fruits; you give first to God in thanks for all that comes to you. When you do this without seeking any return, but openly in gratitude for what you have received, you keep yourself under God's law, or grace, rather than the law of the negative realms. It is one way of keeping your eyes on the Lord.”
Tithing is a spiritual law given by God to humankind to assist people in finding abundance, fulfillment, and gratitude in their everyday lives. The law of tithing is to give 10 percent of one's increase back to God, with God represented on the physical level by the source of one's spiritual teachings — often a church, synagogue, mosque, or a spiritual teacher. When a person tithes, the universe that works under the spiritual law of tithing says, “If you have that much to give, that means you are open to receive more.”

As humankind fulfills its part of the covenant by giving 10 percent to God, then God fulfills Its part by continually blessing us. So, you may want to check it out with a joyful attitude of saying, “Lord, I am open to receive whatever it is that you bless me with.” And then discover for yourself the blessing of fulfilling God's covenant.

In biblical times, people who tithed often received one hundredfold more than what they had given. When they received their hundredfold, they then gave 10 percent of that.

I really found this interesting,I am not religous in any sense but practice spiritual principles daily. I think I may be onto something here. Thanks to the woman who said her daughter mentioned tithing, forgive me for not knowing your name.

Love and Light,
Tracey Rhoades

Hello,

I have been finding dimes for about 4 years now. Each time I picked one up I was reminded of God's love for me and had a peace that whatever situation I was going through, I would be OK. Usually I find one at a time but a few nights ago my husband and I stayed at a hotel and when I picked up a piece of paper that was on the desk, there were 6 dimes underneath. This really gave me great joy. My dad passed away in May and my husband and I have been going through a lot of changes (e.g. due to moving away for new jobs in another province). I had to share with my husband about finding dimes and I thought he would look at me like I had 10 heads but he was very open. He had been stressed about his upcoming job and he felt that God was showing us that everything will work out fine. Who knows...but I certainly am going to start saving mine now! P.S. We also tithe and believe that God is blessed by those who are obedient to Him.

I've just started finding dimes 3 days ago. 5 the first day, 6 the next, as if left for me to find. I was wondering what it meant, and I see that many others think there is something special about finding dimes or the way they appear in as a streak. I am happy to see that others think there is something positive about finding them.

I am laughing myself silly over realizing so many people experience what I do.

Dimes in very random places.

My lap. Falling from the sky. Dropping in the shower.

I have a huge jar, hundreds of dimes since I began teaching, in my mid 30's.

When I was a 7, I dragged my brother out for a walk in the country. We were gone so long that both my grandmothers convinced my mother that we had fallen in a well and were dead. We had stopped at an elderly woman's house to help her pick green beans. We not only talked to a stranger, we went in her home, accepted food and drink and she paid us each a dime.

As we were walking back home, the car with my panicked mother & grandmothers pulled up to us. We had done everything she had told us not to. Besides spanking our butts, she took the dime. I still believe we did what was right in helping this elderly woman who was alone working in the hot sun.

When I find dimes, I believe it is her. It's always at a crossroads when I am in the middle of a project or meeting someone who ends up being very significant in my life. I believe it is about trust, about using change, about growth. About the possibilities given to us in life, and that when taking chances, if we follow our hearts, all will be well.

It does feel a bit crazy!

A psychic friend once held my jar of dimes in her hands and said "I see a woman laughing"

Boy, she must be laughing very hard!

The funny thing is that almost every week I get a call or e-mail from a friend I have shared my dime story with. And they find dimes in odd, random places as well. Just yesterday I found a dime under my arm on the desk (okay, how did that get there?). Last night I had an e-mail from a friend who said she was finding them all over the place and was going to google it. I decided to google it to and found this wonderful website! What a trip to know that so many others have the same experience.

I am a writer, and once used the experience in play. The main character found a dime in a pair of jeans she'd just bought at the store (this happened to me) and she told her friends, including a woman dressed as a big yellow chicken. When the leading actress got pneumonia, I stepped in to do do the role. Imagine my out-of-body experience, playing in front of an audience - and telling this big yellow bird all about finding dimes in random places!

There is a joy in finding them, and in knowing that me, my friends and family are not the only ones....It always relaxes me and affirms that following one's heart, even when "danger" might be involved, is the right thing to do.

Kathy

I started finding dimes around the house, in places that didn't make sense but especially by my bed in the morning, after my mother passed away from cancer in Sept of '07. Matter of fact, there are several on my side of the bed now, which I have not removed or looked at (I'm eager to checkout the dates now after reading some of the posts.) I don't know if is a coincidence or not because my husband always has lots of change but he consistently lives it on the desk, which is on the other side of the room so....

Sylvia Brown, the psychic, says that dimes are our loved one's way of telling us that they are thinking of us and as crazy as it sounds, I believe it to be true.

It seems whenever I'm feeling especially sad or missing my mom, I find dimes--on the stairs, in the driveway.... Again, this could be coincidental but I prefer to believe my mom is leaving the dimes because she is thinking of me, which makes me happy.

I have always believed that finding a dime was someone who had passed trying to reach out to me. My Mom has been very skeptical. My step dad passed away a little over a year ago. We were very close, he was a tennis pro and my coach for over 30 years. I just started playing tennis again and tonight during a match, in the middle of my first game I found a dime in the middle of the tennis court. No one had been on the court before me and I had no pockets. My Mom was there and finally believes what I have known all along!

coins, pennies or dimes, some placed some in shapes. we never felt it was from someone who passed away, but it was a way to harass or as the link above says 'creep out'.

is there a family member who likes to play cruel games? anyone going through a divorce, etc.

there was a old mob saying 'dropping a dime' the meaning, was to inform on someone, when one dropped a dime it was to make a phone call and inform. Old pay phones cost a dime.

It could be a way to gaslight someone.

I have been reviewing this site for a few hours now. Normally I do not blog, answer or post anything on the net. To some this may be a trivial issue but to me it is very important. Im not sure why or how but I am aware to what is happening with myself and my family with regard to dimes. In 1993 my father was killed abruptly in an accident. My family was very close then and it was sudden, within 4 months I lost 4 more members of my family all related immediatly to my father (brothers, sisters, mother. No dimes at the time, and then after emptying my fathers pockets of his jacket as we packed things away about a month after I found a dime. I didnt think much of it, a single dime in a place that it should be. However, that is when it began. Over the next year starting the very next day, my mother, I and my brother found over 300+ dimes around our house, in the yard, vehicles and in places I could tell you such things shouldnt be found regularly. No pennies, no nickels, just dimes. For 10 years we found these dimes and my mother the optimist I love decided all along they were from my father. At times it drove me crazy and being an analytical person with a Masters I could not comprehend such a thing. In 2003, ten years after this all began it abruptly stopped (at least for me). I estimate we mustve found over 1,000 dimes in that time span. During a hard time for me a few moths later and abrupt changes my family moved (myself and wife, kids, etc.) While gutting the kitchen in a house we purchased in our new small town locale kitchen I remember it was a tough day, things had been rough economically for us moving and so forth. As I ripped up linoleum from the floor of our new fixer -upper home lay there a dime between the layers. At first I laughed and then I cried. A Mercury dime from 1925, the year the house had been built with no manner of wisdom to how it could have been there. From then on it began again, dimes found in my childrens cribs, in closets, under doormats, even in the garden when digging up weeds. I cant understand it and I really dont want to. All I want to do is remember my dad when I find them and hope. That is all I need and I pray that is all it ever comes to. To those who find them, believe what you will behind it, but at least believe it means something. Today I found another dime, inconspicuously sitting outside on the ground where I would see it coming up our steps. I hope it never ends!

I have always felt that the dimes I find are from from my son Brent who died at the age of 14 in 1988. They often appear when I need them most emotionally and some of them appear in unbelievable ways. One Easter dinner when the family was especially sad about Brent's passing, my daughter came into the kitchen announcing that she found 5 dimes stacked up on the dining room floor. Brent was born on Good Friday in 1988 and his birthday was on Easter Day the year that this event occurred. My husband was worrking a night shift when he heard a loud noise coming from a nearby vending machine. (He was alone.) When he checked it out, he found dimes POURING out of the machine. My husband, daughter and I save each dime we find. I document them with the date, location and even my emotional state at the time I find them. Very often they are a much-needed sign of comfort during hard times.

I have been finding dimes since my brother passed away in 1988. Another amazing experience I had was in the hospital 3 years ago, as I was getting prepped for surgery. I was not nervous for my surgery, until an older woman starting screaming that she was in pain and was going to die (they were having trouble inserting her IV for her surgery). The nurses tried to calm her down because it was making the other patients waiting for their own surgerys very anxious. In order to tune our her screams, I turned on my tv in the pre-surgery area for distraction. I flipped through the channels and ended up watching a few minutes of the Maury Povich Show which had a segment with Sylvia Brown explaining how dimes are gifts from those who passed. A guest described how she found dimes in odd places, like in corners of rooms where dimes don't fall. That was another way my brother tried to "give me a dime" to wish me luck for my surgery, which was successful.

I often leave the dimes I find at home on the floor. I have two that I have been "vacuumng around" for several months. They appeared shortly after I moved into my new apartment. It was a sudden move...made immediately after the death of my husband. I never thought about the fact that I shouldn't pick them up...I just liked seeing them there, buat maybe subconsciously I know I should leave them there.

Shortly after my son died in 1988, I began taking walks with a friend whose son had also died recently. We would wald around the neighborhood with our dogs. On one walk I bent down to pick up a dime and commented "I don't know why I keep finding dimes." A few months later I attended a conference in Philadelphia with the Compassionate Friends, an international organization that has local chapters where parents find support for the loss of their children. I attended a workshop run by the authors of "Hello From Heaven," a collection of stories about how children who have died have communicated with their parents and have provided comfort to them. They told the story of a young boy who would get and allowance of $2.00 a week. Each week, the boy would give his mother back a dime from his allowance for being a "good mother." The mother continued to receive dimes after her son died, which she collected and saved. The authors of the book then also began to find dimes in unsuspected places. I believe my son gives me dimes to show his eternal love for me and to other members of my family. When I tell this story to friends, they too begin to find dimes, especially friends who have also lost children.

i've only been finding dimes for about 2 weeks. but it's the places i have been finding them that have lead me to believe that something weird is going on. i found dimes at work in the middle of the floor after sweeping the whole floor, on the cash register in the morning after closing the night before, alone. i had a really strange experience tonight that made me google it, and here i am. i was alone at home. i have a can leaning against my screen in my room. i was sitting there and heard what sounded like a coin hit the can. i looked out my window, and nothing...i went to my front door and opened it and there was a single dime sitting on the floor right at the entrance...weird.

I have been finding dimes for more years than I can remember. I always thought that my Aunt who died in the 70's started leaving them for me. I would laugh and talk about it to my family as a child and now as an adult. For years I could not find an answer. While reading through my mother's wedding book I realized she and her sisters would put a dime in their wedding shoes for luck. So I thought finding dimes had to be a good thing.
Well today I still find them and now so does my family. I believe they are from my father who passed in 2004 who has taken on the job.
They have become a comfort and make me smile. I remember my family that has passed. I believe they are thinking of us and wish us luck and happiness and let us know all is well.

I started finding dimes a couples of weeks after my nephew died. I didn't pay too much attention to it until I found a dime where I know it wasn't there moments before. I picked up the dime and held it closed in my hand. I said out loud to my nephew "If you are trying to let me know you are okay, then make this dime be the year of your birth." I then looked a the dime and in was indeed the year of his birth. I told my family about this and they too said they had been finding dimes. It's now been almost five years since his death and we still find dimes all the time. I think it's just his way of saying "I'm still here and love you very much." Another nephew and I even made up a poem about this: "See a dime and know this to be true...it's a heaven-sent gift from a passed one to you."

I have been finding dimes for a couple years now. Like everyone who has commented it is perfectly wonderful. I get chills when I find them now, because at first I thought " oh great I'm 9 cents ahead of a penny. Then when I started finding them in corners, on my chair, in a dressing room at the mall, on the running board of the car parked next to me, and many many other places I claimed it as my sign from the angels that someone was watching over me.
I even saw one fall from the sky... Literaly at my feet!!!
I never want it to stop. I want to feel the magic. It does make me stop and take a moment, be in the moment, pray and appriciate my life. I feel special when it happens to me. Like I'm part of something bigger, a chosen person to bring a message that God and angels do exsist. Maybe I can change even one persons mind.... Or 10 people!!
Here's to all us dime finders!! May our spirits be open and may it never stop!! Xo Dina

Hi, I am Elaine. Am so glad I found this blog as I think I'm going a little crazy. A few weeks ago I started finding dimes, solely dimes, in the most unlikely and random places. After I have cleaned, as though one fell out of my butt, on corners of furniture. It started when I was in the depths of despair and they come when I pray or am searching for hope or peace. A medium once told me to look for dimes from my deceased brother and dad, but I never believe it..now I'm a little freaked out but comforted at the same time..

Hello from Canada. I thought I was the only one finding dimes and I don't mean more than one, just the odd dime here and there and I was wondering what does it mean? I searched it on Yahoo and came across this site. I see and am not the only one who has been finding dimes.
I started finding dimes about 6 months ago, it seems that the dime would appear out of no where. Standing in line at the store and see a dime on the floor..Ok nothing strange about that but when you find one in your dresser drawer, walking across a parking lot, sitting down visiting family and notice just one dime, washing clothes and one dime in the washer, under my computer desk, under a carpet that was under a dresser in my parents home. Just popping up every now and then, not nickles, quarters, or pennies but one lonely dime. Very odd !! I was wondering what is the meaning behind it??

Happy to know it's not just me . I have been finding dimes for about 3 years and it kinda freaked me out at first . I find them everywhere . I was at my sisters the other day and when I was putting on my shoes I look down and theres a dime in my sisters shoe . I can be in the middle of nowhere and a dime will be waiting for me to find . Everytime I find one my grandmother comes to mind , so maybe it's her way of saying she's thinking of me . I loved my grandmother but I never got a chance to tell her I loved her before she died .

Ever since my brother in law passed away (about 4 years ago), I have been finding dimes in so many odd places....on the steering wheel balanced perfectly as I get back in the car from a gas station stop), on clothes I have just folded and left on the dresser...on the sidewalk, in the washer (usually four lined up side by side)...on his tombstone...crazy!!! I feel as if he is letting me know that he is watching over me! One day, I couldn't find my flash drive and said "Kurt, I wish you could help me find it..."I came back in the bedroom, and there was a dime on my dresser on top of my hand-mirror...the flashdrive was under the hand mirror!!!

I went to lucnh with a friend and we were telling each other about signs our departed sons give to us. She has been finding dimes in odd locations since her son passed away. When I paid for lunch the cashier said she was sorry, but they were out of quarters and she had to give my change back in dimes. Perhaps a coincidence but...
As we were leaving I saw a young man in his Air Force blues across the parking lot. From a distance he was the spitting image of my son. Not just the uniform and haircut (of course) but he had the same height, build, mannerisms and "presence". I felt like I would faint. Anyway, I believe that the dimes are a way the departed let us know they are with us.

Whoa. My sister passed away four and a half years ago. Around a year and a half ago, I started finding dimes....everywhere. Now I just take pics of them on my cell.. My mom has been sick w/ COPD, emphysema and as of 2 years ago, she was diagnosed with lung cancer. I had to read into the dimes I was finding on a daily basis and I told my partner that Mom would pass away in October (tenth month) of this year...and she did on the 22nd. My partner found dimes in places that didn't make sense as well. After I told my brother the story, he found a dime that week between his feet...and we shared with my Aunt who remembered that the previous week when my Mom was sick, she was rolling her change..she rolled all of it only to pick up all the rolls and find..one dime.
I was confused since my theory on the dime had actually came true, why then were we still finding dimes after my Moms passing.? I actually find around one a day..on this past Thursday I found one w/ a co-worker who was amazed at it when I went to pick up safety glasses and a dime fell out. I had just found one less than an hour prior and just had told him about it ..'found another dime!"..then we found that one together...
I am believeing after reading all of these posts that it is definitely a sign from my sister and Mom that they are ok...My Mom knew about the dime phenomenon..I always see rainbows and have those pictures also. My Mom had agreed with what my friends said . it's my sister saying hello. My Mom is apparently going to stick with the Dime theory...ibkat21@hotmail.com

I have been finding dimes for the last 20 years. It was awhile before I realized that I was finding only dimes, not pennies or nickels just dimes. I didn't mention it to anyone because I too felt people would think I'm crazy but it happened too often for me to just dismiss it. I would find them in a room I had just cleaned, on a carpet I had just vaccumed, many times on the seat of the car, on the sidewalk on a bed I had just made etc. Most of the time I will find dimes for weeks or months. It usually means for me something major will happen in my life. I've been used to this now because it's gone on so long. My father died 25 years ago. When I go back to Chicago and visit with my sisters and mother I would find dimes everywhere. When they would pick me up from the airport I would find a dime on the floor of the car. For years I did not mention this to any of my family. I found dimes constantly all while I visited with them. It wasn't until about 2 years ago that I told them about the "dime thing". Of course they laughed and made fun of me. I didn't care cause I know it's no coincedence. It's happened for too long. So just before my mother passed away in Feb. I had been making more frequent trips to Chicago to spend time with her. The dimes kept coming only dimes and many of them but only one dime at a time. I knew they were from my father. I knew what they meant. The morning my mother died I asked for a sign that my mother and father were finally together again. I asked that the sign be 2 dimes found at the same time. Then I would know they are together. I did not share my hope of a sign that my parents were together with anyone. The day after she died my sisters and I were getting into the car in front of my mother's house 2 dimes were lying on the floor of the car. I was almost speechless. I told my sisters about the sign of 2 dimes that I had hoped to see so I would know my parents were together. We all sat there and just looked at each other. My daughter asked to see the dimes and I handed them over. She said "Mom what year did Grampa die in? I said he died in 1984. She said "and Gramna was 95?" She showed us the dates on the dimes. One dime was 1984 and the other dime was 1995. I get great comfort because I do believe that the dimes are a sign from the other side. In my case it's is my dad and now my mom who let us know they are still with us.

Hello, I have been finding dimes for about a month and a half now.. I have been taking care of my sister who is ill and we have been having a very hard time making ends meet. I have prayed so hard as she has and asked for a sign that all would be ok, we have been finding dimes ever since. The dimes we find are very cold to the touch and we find them everyplace. I have them all in a candle I have put by my window. I got online today to try to figure this out and found this blog, I called my sister right away and told her, and she told me she had just "Been given another one"

HI My name is Kristan, from Buffalo new york and I have been finding dimes all of a sudden within the last month and a half. The first dime was when I woke up in the middle of the night to get some water, something was under my butt, it was a dime, vacuming, picking up my boys match box cars, it was on the bottom of the pile, my driveway, and in my truck floor and this morning I went to get a dental floss pick in a ceramic jar in the closet, the jar lid fell on the floor and broke, and then the bottom of the jar fell and broke in many pieces, and I went to pick them up and on the bottom of the pile of picks was a darn dime. Im getting freaked out, or maybe its a sign from someone, I just hope it is not a bad sign.

The story as it has been told to me and my family is that the dime used to represent the price of a phone call and when you were thinking about someone or they about you, the phone would ring. This was very true for my family. Anyway, when my dad passed, we were told we would find dimes because our dad was thinking about us and this would be like the phone ringing. Did anyone close to you die recently - this could be there way of showing you that they are looking out for you.

122 comments over three years. Wild. I haven't read them all, but it sure is interesting.
My family has been tuned in to finding dimes since 1994 when my best friend was killed in a car accident. As legend has it, a few weeks after the fact, my friend's mother was walking down the street, and saw somebody bend down, pick up a dime, and say "I found a dime. I know I'll be okay!"
Well my family and I started to find dimes, and we attributed them to Joel saying "hi!".
Today is the thirteenth anniversary of my wife's death, and I found a dime this morning.
"Hi!"

First off, thank you to Kim who started this blog, and making us not feel too crazy! I've been finding dimes for the past three months. I came upon this blog, searching for an answer. There seems to be a common factor for a lot of people: Recent death. For myself, no recent death, so I'm still in search for an answer. MY finding of dimes has been sometimes ridicous and creepy! I had one jump in my shoe last week before my husband and I took off for a 750 mile road trip. I found two today. And as of today, I have started a ledger to keep track of the date and spot I find my dimes. I love all the stories, and look forward to hearing more.

I too was searching for an answer. Tonight when i was leaving the grocery store i had the most weird occurance. My boyfriend was standing next to me putting the groceries in the cart and a dime fell on the toe of my shoe as if it had fallen out of my purse. I knew it didn't cause i very rarely have change on me and had just recently searched my purse for change for a vending machine at work the day before. I knew for a fact i didn't have a dime in my purse. It did not come from him either. He paid with a debit card and had no change in his pocket. Where did this dime come from? I find them everywhere. I don't know of any recent deaths. It's just weird.

It could mean the God is listening to your prayers or that a loved one is indeed reaching out to you. It can also be a sign of new beginnings. If people keeep finding them all the time that would be a lot of new beginnings. Lol So I would say that something higher is there be it God or a loved one. Consider yourself lucky!

This has bothered me for a few years now finding dimes.i have to say in the begining i did'nt pay that much attention to it tell dimes just kept popping up in the strangest places in the house out side on the steps.it started happening so often.that i accuse my husband of dropping them.because i started makeing such comments about finding them.just the other day we were coming back to our van from shopping.and there behind the van was a dime.altho i have had some strange things happening to me since i have been finding these dimes.to the point i wont mention what they are.because i dont want no one thinking i'm crazy.i will say this much .getting woke up from my sleep is'nt funny.also every time i find a dime i get this good feeling.it makes me smile which i dont smile very often.some days i'll find as high as 5 to six dimes a day then it may go for weeks before i start finding them.

I am so happy to have found this site..I am amazed how many people out there find dimes...you dont see sites about finding pennies/nickels and or quarters.

From what I have been reading the past few days, it seems alot of people are associating finding dimes with a death of a loved one. I just recently started finding dimes and have not had a loved on pass away in almost a year, but am going through a divorce.

I was married 19 years and feel as if part of me has died. The day before I started finding dimes, I cried myself to sleep. Not just any crying but full body sobs and alligator tears. The next morning I woke up feeling pretty good, in fact almost happy.I figured I finally have cried enough, then I found my 1st dime. I did not pay much attention to it, I handed it to my son and told him to go put it in the change dish...later I found another...then with in the hour I found my 3rd dime in a recently vacummed room. By the end of that 1st day I had found 5 dimes and I have an overwhelming feeling that things are going to be OK...the next day with in a few hours of being awake I found 2 more dimes.

I am now keeping my found dimes seperate from my other change. I dont know where they are coming from, or why I have them, but I not only feel lucky to have found them, I feel special. I am starting to see how bright my future is going to be.

My husband of 7 years died suddenly August 21, 2009 and since then I've been finding dimes. I've only just begun to research this phenomenon but I think I'm comforted by them. I didn't think anything of the dimes until I found on on his grave on Christmas. Now I see them everywhere. I have yet to start picking them up. I want to leave anything he leaves for me where it's at. Should I pick them up?

Hi
My name is Aya. My twin and I have been finding dime for the past five years since my grandmother died. We think it's her saying Hi. I think it's My grandmother because I find them mostly when I buy cafe. She died at 99. The one thing she had everyday was a steaming cup of coffee. So maybe it's a person close to you saying Hi.

I just recently experienced this phenomenon. We were visiting friends out of state and my friend and I were discussing the passing of our mothers (my Mom passed only 7 months ago and I miss her terribly). He asked if I had heard the story of finding dimes and I told him I had not. He went on to explain that it is our loved ones that have passed communicating with us and that he has been finding dimes for quite some time now. Let me add that we were not only visiting our friends but were also scouting the area as we are contemplating moving there. I dismissed the story as we went about the day driving through neighborhoods and discussing job opportunities in their area. When our friends dropped us at the airport later that day as I walked around the back of their vehicle there on the grounds was a shiny dime. Coincidence perhaps, but nevertheless it was a very emotional moment for all of us.

I have been finding dimes ever since my cousin and mother died. I first found them in pairs, but also by themselves. My instinct told me the dimes were signs that my loved ones were watching over me. I have probably found about 20 in the past 4 years. I googled "finding dimes", and I found this blog. I can't believe this is so widespread!!!

I have been finding dimes for about 3 years now. Usually, I am HAPPY when I find them. I was getting out of an Autopia car at Disneyland, there's a dime. I was getting my stuff out of a locker at Six Flags, there's a dime. My son does something great, there's a dime. My craziest dime find was when I was getting my brand new Joker picture out of the wrap & a dime fell out of the package. The Dark Knight was my favorite movie ever.... I now keep the dimes, in a dish, on my headboard.

My dad passed away in 2000. Before he did, I asked him to come back to visit me in some form or another. We joked about him coming back as a stray dog, but I think he's a dime instead!! I have found so many single dimes in strange places since his passing that I know it's him! I never would have believed anyone telling me this until I had experienced it. Now, after reading all of these posts, it seems that many folks have experienced the same thing!! I'm so happy when my dad makes it known that he's with me! Plus, I've saved every dime that I've found since he passed and I have about $65 dollars. I think I'll play the lottery with them-he was a big gambler-I might just win-hahaha

Me and members have been finding dimes ever since my grandmother died. They would turn up in unexplainable places. I always said it was nothing and stupid, etc. until I found three in a line in the middle of my bedroom floor the same night I was voicing my opinion about how it's nothing. Anyway it would be cool to talk about it further with someone. pauste8781@yahoo.com

Hello,
I am so THRILLED to find this blog. First of all I don't find dimes, They find ME. This happens anywhere. At work - working all alone - dimes hit the floor near me. At home, wearing PJ pants - with no pockets - I felt something hit my skin, slide down my leg, and LO Behold - A DIME.. I've had dimes hit me on the shoulder with no one else around. I have found numerous dimes.... But who knows - that could just be people loosing their money. No one I know of has passed away - I'm not making that connection... There's never an evil feeling with the dimes, so I don't think it's evil. For those who get creeped out - I don't think it's a bad thing, so have no fear!!

Hi my name is Michael. Thank God for this site. Now I know that I am not the only one who finds "Dimes". I have been finding dimes for the last four years. I started to find them after I had asked my sister in-law and my Godson/nephew to watch over me. They both had passed away. I asked them to watch over me for five days in a row. I found a dime everyday that I asked. I have been finding dimes every since.
I have been told by a spiritual person that the heads up dime means that everything is OK and you are at peace. Tails means that you should be careful or cautious.
I hope you all find PEACE

I started finding dimes 8 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter... I felt there was a significant meaning to it... My daughter's middle name is Diamond! I still find them... Usually when I am very upset about something happening at that particular time in my life... I embrace every dime I find and it puts a special smile on my face... Dimes are from Guardian angels! I'm a firm believer that some Guardian Angels will communicate with dimes...

It is wonderful to read all these stories and know it is not just me. My experience is slightly different since I always find a dime and a penny together. It started when I first moved out of my childhood home and in with a violent alcoholic. I told my mother (who was raised by an alcoholic) and she said that she had sent them to watch over me. Angels, is what she meant. My mother passed away in 2000 but the dime and penny tradition between us has not stopped. Each time I am at a cross-road or helplessly unhappy I find a dime and penny and know she is still watching over me. I found three sets today and I know that I am on the right track. BTW, the best thing anyone has ever said when I told them about my dime and penny and then immediately found a set, "Do you feel loved? Because I feel loved for you."

It took me a while to pay attention -- finding a dime and not really thinking anything of it. But now I'm paying attention --- I remember finding three at a bus stop and I usually find them on the sidewalk but yesterday I found one in my dryer (it wasn't making any clanking noise) it was stuck in a corner of the dryer. I decided to make a diary of when and where I find them now and I have started saving all of them.

My family and I have been finding dimes ever since my father died about 12 years ago. I have found close to 200, and even one Ukranian coin at JFK - valued at 10c.

It started as a few on the seat of our car, then in the house, on the street, in stores, parking lots. My son found one on a rail at the top of the Eiffel Tower during a school trip to France! Most recently one appeared on the floor before me at church on Easter Sunday.

We are convinced that it is my father saying that everything is OK, but that's about all we can conclude after all this time. It is a comforting message nonetheless.

My husband passed away Sept. 2009of cancer. Before he died he had found dimes twice and each time he did there were 3 of them. We had been thinking about going to Mexico for alternative medical treatments and took these as a sign to go. Two weeks after he passed away I found the 1st one sitting by itself on a little mosaic table in Pier One Imports. I find one about every couple of weeks. I have even found 1 on a newly made bed. I seem to find them when I'm having a very difficult time coping with losing him. I went to a medium and she asked me if dimes meant anything to me and I said yes, and she said I was going to start finding them. I told her I already had and she said I would continue to find them and I do. I believe my husband is definitley communicationg with me and letting me know he is ok and still with me. I find them very comforting. Linda

I think that was the first one. Dimes have fallen out of my wallet or purse, but only one dime. I find them in the middle of the floor in my house, where several people walk all day and would either find it or kick it, but it seems that I am the only one finding them. I found one in my car in the empty console, on the ground, in my baby's hand, in a newly laundered pants pocket and even on my bed while nursing my baby. I just had to look it up. I haven't had any death in my family for at least 15 years, I've never known any of my grandparents because they all died before I was born, so I'm not sure if that's the reason why the dimes are showing up. Why always a dime, and why only one at a time? I'd love an answer.

My husband passed away Sept of 2009of cancer. We had been looking into alternative treatments in Mexico and were pretty sure we were going to go there. We started looking for signs to help us make up our minds. Oneday he came home and said look I found 3 dimes all at once. Another day right after that he came home with 3 more he had found. About 2 weeks after he passed I found the first one on a table that was for sale in a store, not on the floor but on this table. I picked it up and kept it. I went to see a medium right after that and she asked me if dimes meant anything to me and I said they did. She told me I would start finding them and I told her I already had, and she said I would continue to find them. I have found a total of 14. I also found 2 quarters. One was on our anniversary in my car where I KNOW it hadn't been there before. I believe it is a sign from my husband. I seem to find them when I'm having a real bad day and I just can't cope with losing him, but I find them other times too. I take comfort in them because I truly believe it is him telling me he is with me. Linda

Dimes are a blessing from above. It is from an Angel looking down on you and giving you a blessing. Always pick up the dime never pass it by where you are being sent a special blessing of love and good fortune.

hi all..I am so glad I am not the only one..I can't believe there are so many different people on here finding dimes..I Don't feel so alone anymore..I have come to realize finding dimes is reality now. I have been finding dimes for years now..I have lived in NY, Florida, 2 homes in mass, and now in my second nj home. Mine always have a P on it..not sure if that makes a difference. I have not
collected them yet, but will start. I find them in all sorts of different locations. The weirdest one was the other day, when I went to register my children for their new school, and as soon as I opened the car door, there was a dime on the ground as clear as day. I also feel weird to tell people about them. My husband has come to realize as well, this is true..if anyone has any suggestions as to what this could mean..please email me at thehumphreys@optonline.net..I feel someone is watching over me and just passing a note that maybe Im taking the right path in my life at this point...good luck

I have been finding dimes quite often. I always find pennies, but in the last year I have been finding dimes everywhere. I started to save them, because I was finding them in really odd places. I once had a client at work return to give me a dime. I was at the grocery store the other day when a cashier asked me to pick up the dime next to my foot. I was surprised and decided to figure out what was going on.I wanted to share with you bloggers a spiritual reading that I had done while attending Los Angeles Valley College. There was a vendor there every day selling silver and healing stones(quartz, etc )my cousins and I always walked by him everyday and were never in a position to purchase anything from him and we decided to stop by and say hello. He asked us why we never bought anything and we stated that we were broke college students. He offered to do a spiritual reading for free and we could give him whatever donation we could offer. He pulled out I think 10 dimes(bare with me its been 19 years) and he did a separate reading for each of us. The dimes were painted in two different colors and depending in the order they landed he would take note and proceeded to read a passage from a book once he totaled your sequence or the number. My cousin went first, she wasn't to impressed with her reading. Something having to do with school and her goals. He continued with my second cousin and she wasn't very impressed either. Now came my turn and he gave me the dimes and asked me to drop them a couple of times,a couple of times they all landed face up same color and I proceeded to drop them and all of them the same color again and he was shocked! He said I have been doing these reading for quite some time and I haven't had that happen in a very long time, I of course was a little frightened with his reaction and he said," do not worry, you have many spirit guides who watch over you". He said, here it says that you pray a lot to God. I said yes, I do. He said you have a couple of family members who have passed away that are watching over you.He was very moved with the reading and so was I. Now, I find dimes everywhere and I started to carry a little coin purse to save them. I always think its God's way of saying Trust in God. Keep looking for those coins!

Glad I found this site. I am totally amazed by how many other people find dimes too. Years ago I was at my wits end. I was feed up with trying to do the right things and every time it seemed like I always got some sort of adverse reaction for my good deeds. I thought something was wrong with me. I lived a Christian lifestyle, lived a positive lifestyle in my community and reared my children to not be a burden to society. Until one day I found myself getting ready to close the door on religion. Everyone I knew who did not go to church was happy. My crooked neighbors were getting richer. They seemed to have good jobs and their life appeared to be prosperous than mine. So I decided to give MY GOD a choice. He was going to give me signs when I was going in the right direction and I was to reap good rewards or I was calling off our relationship. That very night I had a dream about someone giving me a fist full of dimes. The dimes were falling everywhere. The next day I awoke so tired. I had chased dimes all night. For the next two days, I had bored my family members to death about my dream of chasing dimes. Then… that very weekend, as I was cleaning…….I found a fist full of dimes. At the time I happy I had found so many dimes, and thought very little of the odds of finding so many dimes. But a few days later I had remembered the choice I had given my GOD. And the dimes came to mind. Only then did I connect the dimes and my Godly direction. I now truly feel like the anonymous dimes are like bread crumbs…..leading me in the right direction. I now have been finding dimes for over twelve years. Every time I have to a make a major purchase or a major decision in my life I start looking for my dimes. Sometimes finding dimes goes months in between, but sure enough they return.
I mostly find dimes where no one would think to look for money. I always smile when I find them and feel a little more relaxed and reassured that I'm headed in the right direction in life.
And yes! I don't see another one until I move a dime. I tried to save them but mine seems to always get spent or missing. The tithing theory could be close also. It is a tenth!

P.S. Many of you start finding dimes after experiencing an actually communication with God, as a result of the death of a love one. You may want to recall your conversation with God during your “boiling” moment. I think you said something that got GOD’s attention. I wish you all luck!

Who knew what the power of sharing could do. I've been finding dimes forever but it wasn't until about 2 years ago that I realized that I always find dimes. Then it hit me. I figured it was my grandmother whom I'm named after. I thought to myself it must be her that is sending these dimes to me. The first person I told was of course my mother, whose mother I'm referring to as my grandmother. Next thing you know I just started telling everyone my story of finding dimes and how after I find them it seems like some type of conformation. Well, a long story short, after sharing my experience with people they began to tell me they found dimes after I shared my experience with them and something good followed. Someone found $20 right after they found a dime. Another person told me that after I told them about the dimes they found a dime and they were having a really bad day and they were in sale and after that their sales started to pick up. I must say that I have been blessed to be arouond some very positive and spiritual people. So I told the one man who is very spiritual and he told me that when a person always finds money like that, which comes out of no where and you know it wasn't there a minute ago, that it is called the Coin of Copia, and that means that God can trust you and will trust you with wealth that is one the way. I am know 29yrs old and I can remember as early as 12yrs old finding dimes. So I truly believe my bundle of blessing is coming, but it isn't for me alone. God knows I will do right by what he gives me and share it wisely and help many people. But how I came to this sight, is that a friend of mines has callead me the last 2dys exclaiming that she has found a dime and she never has, and I told her the story of me finding dimes in the winter. Now her dimes are showing up, right when she needs them. She asked me today, now tell what does it mean when you find a dime? I told her everything will be alright, and she said well I'm going to look it up on the internet and see what it means. I said you know that is a good idea, I never done that before, though I did look up the coin of copia, and this is wehere I found the rest of you all. I can't wait to tell her in the morning what I found. I know people who find dimes all the time are special. Since telling this story to other people it has only been 1 or 2 people who experience this as well on a regular basis. And to be honest I was on my way to bed and I was like I'm going to look this up, since my friend brought it up to me and I'm glad I did, because it was tears in my eyes from some of the stories I read tonight. My granmother past away to soon and I am named after her. And from what I hear she was a fine woman who had it togethere who was a success in her time to soon gone. I feel many days she lives through me. I was born to be rich it's in my blood, just like LOVE, just because. I embrace finding dimes and in the future, the very near future I know an abundance of finance is coming my way. So that I can live a prosperous life but also help others to do the same. I know my journey is to get my family back on top, where we belong, and the dimes will lead the way. Let's always keep the dimes going.....WMG

Oh this does give me peace. I'm amazed at this phenomenon. Too many stories to tell. Started about 12 years ago. Weird places, sometimes two or three together. Never any other coin. Always dimes. I know someday I will know why.

I can't believe this! I randomly looked up "significance of finding dimes" and there's a whole website devoted to it! I have been finding dimes over the past year...not coincidentally both my mom and best friend died 3 months apart. At first, for some reason, I thought the dimes were a sign from my friend; I started picking them up and putting them in stacks in front of my favorite picture of her. Then the other day I started thinking that maybe they were from mom; I said (to myself, of course..other people think I'm crazy) "mom, if it's you giving me these dimes then I will find one in the next 10 minutes"...sure enough, there on the floor of my car (where I know there wasn't one just 10 minutes before!) was a shiny dime! They just appear out of nowhere..just like others on this page are saying. Wow is all I can say...I feel so much better, just having this phenomena validated!

I thought that we were the only family going through this! I am so happy to hear that this could be a positive thing.I knew it was one of our relatives that had passed on.Before my grandmother passes she was 103 years old. We had a deal that she would send me a signn if she could from the other side and I believe she is holding up her end of the deal! We have been finding dimes since she passed and I am convienced that she is just saying hello! And I have also found a marble recentley at a concert in a crease of the cement on the floor. Someone had posted that they too had found some marbles,HUMM..Not sure what that means? Maybey it could be my brother that passed at a young age saying hello we used to play marbles all the time!I think i will also start to wear a dime around my neck! Good idea Thanks for all the great stories! Good to know we are not alone!!!

I googled "finding dimes" because I was considering writing a book about my life's experiences and wanted to use my examples of finding dimes somehow in the book. I wanted to see if that book title, "Finding Dimes," had already been used. Imagine my surprise when I found the websites and realized I was not alone in this unique experience!!
I've been finding dimes since 1997 but have not kept them or kept track of where I found them, until the last two.
Just last week I was in Key West, FL, on vacation and found a dime Sunday and then found another dime Monday, both while walking along Duval St, maybe about 5 blocks from each other. One was actually in a small alley that I just happened to look down.
I always smile when I find the dimes, and I have to admit it does make me feel very special, but I've not been able to figure out any kind of pattern as far as what they mean.
For some reason I decided to keep these two dimes separate and bring them home with me, rather than put them in with the rest of my change and spend them.
When I returned home I put them out where I will see them everyday along with some other small souvenirs from the trip.
I was telling a friend about my finding dimes experiences this morning and for some reason decided to look at the dates on the dimes. To my amazement, they were 1967 and 1991--the years that my Grandfather and Grandmother died. When I realized this I was literally riveted to my chair. I felt their presence here with me. Amazing. Being a Christian, I am not afraid to die, but having had this spiritual experience only confirms to me that there is indeed life after death.
I believe that the dimes can also represent completeness, fullness, titheing, and goodwill in general.
Perhaps these are physical signs from our angels and loved ones telling us that "It's all good," and that we should enjoy our lives!

I have been finding dimes in strange places now for about a month. My son died 1/10/10. The significance of this date just struck me today. We got his car back a few weeks ago and that is when the dimes started showing up. I did not even put it together until my other son asked me a few days ago if I had been finding dimes. Seems he has as well. They are always in a strange place and heads up. Today I learned that the people he lived with in PA have found them too. A dollars worth in one day! It is always a dime. Never any other coins. My son told me he was awakend one night when something dropped on him. It was a dime. He started to change the oil in his brothers car and found a dime under the car. I found one in my dining room that is never used. They are just turning up all over the place. I wish I knew what it might mean. We are not crazy people and I dont have holes in my pockets either. In fact I empty my change daily into a jar that goes to charity when it gets full.

I am glad I found this site...this has happened quite often to me over the years....at 1st, I thought it was just that I was finding coins that someone had dropped....funny thing is, they are always dimes. I have in the last two months lost my job due to layoffs. Shortly after, I randomly found dimes in odd places again and started to collect them in a glass angel by my bedroom window.Today I found 2 in a short period of time. There has been alot of discord in my family in the past 11 years which has caused alot of us not to talk to each other. I get a feeling like one of my grandparents is trying to send me a message.

we have been finding dimes since our parents passed away in oct 2008(just noticed it adds to 10...2 plus 8) about 10 days apart. my son remembered that maw maw gave them dimes when they would do a chore for her. I think she is letting us know that there is a place close to us where she is now at. she used to love to collect coins. since their passing, our younger sister has been against the family, and I can't help but think about the 10 commandments. I pray for her and my family a lot. I believe that we all need to really think about how we act towards each other while we still have a chance before it's too late. tears are coming to my eyes as I write this. what else can 10 mean? I even found a penny covered with dirt on my way back from my mailbox. as I held it, I wiped away the dirt to discover that it was a very old dime. yes it is very weird, but my faith won't let me feel scared about this phenomenom. another sister started finding the dimes before I did. now we have discovered that we usually find them around the same times. her first recollection was at burger king by the drink machine where we used to go about every other day with our parents just to get them out of the house and get a little exercise. two dimes were side by side (strange)on the counter with many people around, but no one else noticing them until she did. It's been about two years worth of finding dimes for me, my sister, our brother, and my son. today was succession hearing at court, and yes, my sister found a dime and so did I.

Hi,
In 2002 my mom died. I kept finding pairs of dimes all over the place. It was hard to believe at first but it happened so much it was hard to ignore. I never really saved them I just thought how weird it was. Last year my dad died. I was on aol reading about a widow from 9/11 who wrote about strange things happening to all the widows. one guy finds four dimes all the time. After reading the article I went out to my car and found 2 dimes in my console right next to each other..weird because I dont usually leave change in my car where they were. The next day I found a dime on my floor by my DVD player which im sure wasn't there the day before. I now realized that I have a dime on my keychain which has a hole in it..i kept it on there after finding it in my cash register when I was 18. this time sits on the same keychain as an old becks bottle opener that my dad gave me. I love my dad and cherish this keychair and have ofter bragged about it because its old and heavy metal. I have to assume that these dimes are being left around to let me know my parents are still with me.

Not creepy. makes me happy.

Where to start...well, I'm 27, and I've been finding dimes non stop on a daily basis for about a month now. I've always been a huge penny finder, and am very superstitous. I have always believed a penny heads up is good luck, a penny who shows tails, surely fails...with that said, I started finding many dimes. Last year, I played a Mega Millions ticket which I usually purchase about $10-$20 worth when the jackpot is over $100 million dollars. Well, on May 15,2009 I won 3rd prize which was $10,000. I was naturally excited and shocked, but the weird thing is that day I didn't find a penny, I found a dime. I've have since believe that their are certain things about dimes that come into your life at bad times. I lost my job in October 2009, I've been activley looking for work here in New York City. I gained about 40 lbs, and have been absolutley miserable. I have a close friend who is a world renowned psychic who is credible who has assisted in finding bodies of missing persons. He told me different coins mean different things in the paranormal world as well as the living world. I thought I would share some of his insight with all those who are constantly worrying about the same thing I was.....First of all dimes are what they call a full circle coin in the living world, what that means is basically what it sounds like, if you have been in a rut, gained weight, lost who you were, nearly poor things of these circumstances..basically your luck is about to change. It doesn't mean go and gamble away your savings or play the lotto till your broke.(Which I almost have done on numerous occasions). Over the past 4 weeks I have found about 70 dimes. I don't look for them they appear on the street, in my cab, on airplanes, in my couch, on my bed, in the strangest places. Now in the paranormal world if you find these dimes tails up it means someone is watching you very closely whether it's negative or positive energy is unknown, however it's important if you are holding these dimes to collect them in groups of 10 and put them in something like a sock or something you can't see into like a glass jar. Everytime you have another "10" you can add them to this sock or bag. The reason for this is your suppose to either put them under your bed or somewhere at ground level. I'm told it will draw negative energy away from you and pull positive energy closer to you. Now if your finding them heads up, it's supposivley someone trying to make contact with you. It's important to look at the dates on the dimes because they may signify a year that was eventful either in your or their life. My psychic friend told me one of his clients lost someone in the uneventful 9/11/01 attacks. Almost all of the dimes she finds are heads up, the year 2001-his death, 1973-his birth, or 1997-the year they married. Now I never once met my mom's mom(my grandma) and she died in 1972 I started to notice that 22 of the 70 dimes I've found are from that year...concidence? I don't know. Long story short I'm following what I believe to be true and that's that my luck is changing for the better. I currently owe the IRS over $5,500, I owe nearly $25,000 in credit card debt to supplement my non existent income from unemployment, and I gained alot of weight. Just before 4th of July holiday I promised to myself, to get a decent job, lose weight, and pay off my debts. Well, all I can say is that I'm trying my best to acheive all of these things, but only time will tell. Until then I won't stop collecting the dimes. Maybe this will help for those of you who seek the same answers I do. ----Mark~27~NYC,NY

How nice to find this page! We are always connected and this just shows we are all part of something beautiful. I've been finding dimes and some other small change for months and felt the significance....even without the meaning. I think this is a gift and a reason is not always required to enjoy and feel gratitude.
I hope i continue to see the dimes and feel the complete simple gratitude to the source!

Me and my sister went into my other sister's Nicole's room. She has a picture of her and my Grandpa who passed away several years ago. We looked at the picture, then we looked on the floor and saw a dime. We picked it up and looked at the picture again. On the picture frame there was a dime. We stood in silence, then I finally said 'Hey Grandpa.'

Hi there wow! I can't believe I found a site about finding dimes...and I am glad I did...I had this dream years ago that an elderly man told me to start picking up dimes, nickels and pennies, because he noticed I kept passing by them. I 4got all about it until my tuff times in life started getting bigger, I started finding dimes everywhere and anywhere. I asked God "Okay, wats this all about?" and 2day I found an answer I think "dimes" are a reminder that Jesus, Lord or God is there with me...if I have 2 see it with my own eyes because there are times I can't feel he is, especially when I can't focus on Him...=) Thanks 4 sharing this site...its AWESOME!!!

Nice to see I am not alone on this but would sure like to find a meaning. Hopefully the wealthy thing is the meaning. I find dimes in the strangest places. The first one had to hit me over the head as I am sure I would have thought nothing about finding dimes if it were that the first one was in my shirt. I have no idea how it got there but since that time I find dimes every where: the washer, my bed, etc

I have read in several books that it is an ancient belief that silver protects from evil (both the color and the metal) and that to this day some religions believe that carrying dimes can ward off evil spirits. Also the Bible many times suggests that "silver" signifies truth. And "he that hath no silver" is one who is ignorant of truths. So perhaps you can consider yourself lucky :)

Thanks for this blog! My wife's father lived with us for 11 years before his death in 2005. Since that time I have been finding dimes in strange areas just like everyone else. I brought it up with my wife recently and she told me she had been finding dimes and so have my children. No one brought it up because it just sounded crazy. We always say Hi to him when we find one!

Well, I too have been finding dimes for over 5 years now. And like so many of you, I have been putting them in a pretty tea cup, which is now overflowing.

For me..it all started the day my son was almost in a fatal motorcycle accident. The morning he left, I knew, he would be in a bad accident. Such a strong feeling. The phone rang suddenly, at 7 a.m. I picked it up, and simply said, "Is he alright?" The policeman on the other end, was just silent for a minute before stating who he was. I just knew. He told me he was hit at an intersection, and his body went higher than the traffic light, before coming to a rest on the hard pavement below. I can't even tell you, the pain and anguish that moved through me at that moment. I told him I would meet him at the hospital. Before I left, I went out into a field behind my house...my faith is strong..I fell to my knees and asked God if he could somehow bless my son with a miracle. I then drove to the hospital..Somehow I had peace inside me, knowing it would all be okay. When I walked into the emergency room, 5 nurses stood around the head of the bed..all in white..an intense white room, white floors, white light, and the only thing I remember having color, was my sons face...swollen and bleeding. I gazed at him intensely..It was just then, one nurse looked up suddenly, while the 4 were still gazing down at him..all in silence. The nurse said to me..."It's no coincidense, you know?" I looked at her astonished, not quite grasping what she was saying. I looked at her with question..she then said, "Even the doctors say, something divine had to intervene..there is no explanation why he is still here." She went on to say, they had given him every kind of scan...All showing the same results..nothing broken at all. In fact, it was remarkable. Especially, knowing that at the scene of the accident, they had drawn a line where his body was, thinking this would be surely a fatality. Later, a nurse came to me and said, 'I have something for you..keep it." She opened my hand and stared at me directly. A dime fell into my hand. She said it was in the middle of his chest when they took an xray. I thought to myself, how can that be? They did all these scans. So, later that night I returned home late..thinking of the day. As I opened the car door, right where I went to put my foot, there was a shiney dime. Shining even though it was so dark out. I picked it up, thinking it was a little strange. As I proceeded to my front door, as I walked up the steps, right where I was to put my foot, lay another dime. Shining brightly. I then entered the house. Sure enough, another dime..always right where I'm about to step. Rather curious. When I reached home, I picked up the phone, the bad news was an elderly woman I had been caring for, passed away...right at the time my son had the accident. She prayed everyday, and everyday I came, she always said, "I wish I could do something for you." I always assured her I didn't need anything in return. I couldn't help to think about what a coincidence that was..her dying, and my son seeming to be almost untouched by such a horrific accident. To this day, I find dimes. They are always directly in my path..they always make me stop and think of what I'm doing, and maybe my direction or calling in life. Everytime I find one, I can't help thinking that I almost lost my son..that was October 18th, 2005. If you believe strongly, and never question your faith, I do believe, someone guides us along the way..we just have to recognize when they seem to be around us. But I don't doubt it for a minute. Life has its blessings...and this is one of mine I shall never forget...MJM>

Wow Im not alone! i've been finding dimes for years but not until the last couple years have i saved and documented them. i knew it was something spiritual. iv'e cared for elderly in my life time through agency's .They all have passed away along with my dad. Is it my dad is or it all the people that ive taken care of? Is it an angel? Is it the good Lord winking at me? Approving what im doing? Since ive started saving them i have over 80. Either found them or given back as change dimes only change. I think this spiritual being goes before us placing the dimes for our eyes only to see. thousands of people walked over these dimes at stores no one sees them but me or whom ever else they are placed there for.places ive found them well, bottom of washer, bed, bed pillow, purse bought from the thrift shop, car floor, car seat, stores store parking lots, under beds, refrigerator I can go on. I feel special that i was chosen to experience this and its good to know that im not alone.

This site is great, I didn't realize there were so many people who also found dimes along their way as well, I have been finding dimes for about 7 years or so and have found them in odd places, in my fridge, my son's belly button, had one fall from no where while I was sitting on my couch, fall out of my pocket when I thought it was empty. Every time I find one I immediately think of God, I feel it is a reminder to me that when things get a little rough, to never worry leave my worries to Him he will take care of me, and it always seems to work out some how. So now I just pick one up and Thank God! I may not be rich, however He always provides!

I started finding dimes in very strange places years ago. I have them all. Yesterday I took my mattress cover off my mattress and there on my mattress sat a dime! I put the cover on last time I laundered it and there was no dime there. I took it off yesterday for the first time since the last washing and there was another dime. Years ago on the Montel Show, Silvia Browne said dimes were a sign that someone who crossed over is letting you know they are with you. I believe that. It is very comforting.

To continue to find dimes, simply means that you have completed a section of life, or in some cases a certain thing. You just went through 9, the birth number. New beginnings or insight.Hope that helps. theghosttalkguys on youtube.

That is very interesting. I have often thought I find dimes when I need confirmation that I am on the right path or done the right thing.

I woke up this morning to my usual brain taxing thoughts, work, my children, my boyfried, and God. I went to the restroom, make a cup of coffee and went outside for my moring smoke. While outside I was thinking that my boyfriend wanted me to go to a festivle tonight with bands and drinking. I must confess that I have been drinking more that I would care to admit on and off for the past 4 years. I didn't/don't want to go to this festivle tonight and have been avoiding going out with him because everytime we do it involves drinking... anyway... The thought came to my mind that I should go to church tonight then I thought about the offering and how much I should give. Tithing popped in my mind for a second or two and not wanting to give THAT much thought I quickly dismissed it. I went back inside to getting prepared to look up Miami Vineyard services. I turned on my computer and went back to the restroom to put my contacts in and what did I find... On the floor next to the rug was a DIME. Strange... How did that get there? I have wiped up the floor every morning after getting ready for work to rid it of the hair that has fallen on it. I was quickly tring to find a logical explination. There was no way it came from me or any loose change dropping out of my pockets. I starting thinking about the 2 other dimes that I found in the house within the last month. Thinking back both heads up and thinking it was strange that they were there but dismissing it on my daughter must have dropped it. Finally picking them up and placing them on her headboard. Still thinking back it as if those dimes were ment to be where I found them and by moving them there out of place, as if they lost there significance, there meaning... Lets me get back to my "logical" thinking.

I locked up the house when I went to be and nobody could have came in. I didn't have my purse in the bathroom. The dime that I found on the floor 3 weeks ago I took out last week...

All I had left was the fact there were indeed spirts living here and it was their way of contributing... a dime is light enough and it was placed where it would be noticed and found. Is this a good thing or is it bad?

The internet! The internet! Please let me find something. I was begining to get frightend of the unknow. I thank God that I found this post and all the comments people have written. I have been going through a multitue of things. Every aspect of my life is contributing to my stress. I have been praying for others as well as for God to please help me. I beleive in signs but they need to be strong signs that I can't dispute. I have even resorted to listening to hypnotherapy sessions sessions before I go to sleep at night it hopes to find some peace, some guidance.

While reading I kept looking back at the dime on the floor thinking the dime would be gone but it kept looking back saying here I am! I cried, I was scared but yet curious. Some where in the middle I realized that this wasn't bad or evil and I should embrace it. I got the courage to go pick up the dime and held it for a while and cried again. I placed it next to me while I continued to read. It seemed out of place and just a dime again with out meaning. I want to put it back where I found it.

Continuing to read on I decided that I am going to church tonight (which I haven't went to in over a year) and I am going to return the dime to God along with my tithe offering (already calculate the 10% and wrote the check). I figure if I find another one then that is the one I will keep.

Thank you all for sharing and God Bless!!

I have been finding dimes since September. They just started showing up wherever I went. I just got back from Kauai and the dimes were showing up there too! Now I'm home in CA and it's happening over and over again. I take it as a sign from my dad who passed away in June. I don't know why...it just feels like him saying "Hang in there". It was trippy enough to see what I could find on the internet!
