100 Years to Live - Five For Fighting

I'm 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are

I'm 22 for a moment
She feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars

15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I'm a they
A kid on the way
A family on my mind

I'm 45 for a moment
The sea is high
And I'm heading into a crisis
Chasing the years of my life

15 there's still time for you
Time to buy, Time to lose yourself
Within a morning star

15 I'm all right with you
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

Half time goes by
Suddenly you're wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We're moving on...

I'm 99 for a moment
Dying for just another moment
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are

15 there's still time for you
22 I feel her too
33 you're on your way
Every day's a new day...

15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

Put it on your player:
100 Years

I have had this song on my brain for some time. It has almost derailed me because it is so poignant. I don't know if anyone has ever summed up those ideas any better than that about how precious time is and how fast it flies.
I did not know who the artist was until I came across your page in a Google. Thank you. You seem like a very cool person. May you have a fulfilling century, From Upstate NY.

My father-in-law passed away last June 04 and this song was the first song we heard on the radio -

Now that a year has passed, I have been able to sit down and find it, Thanks to this post.

It is a sad but Happy song for us, that we will now pass on to our 15 year old daughter to make her think of Happy times ahead.

He always said life is only a breath and you can stop breathing one of these days without the time to figure it out.

So now that I've found this song...
This is for you, Dad. Love you always

My nephew Steven & his wife used this song for the Power Point photo display of their lives from baby to now at their wedding. With '100 Years to Live', ironically Steven died in a tragic accident last week at age 32. They were married only 8 months.

Recently my Australian Husband had to return to Australia to care for his elderly Father. We are in our late 40's and often listen to this song while I'm engaged in a very strict and detail process of migration.
This song sums up so much. Especially for us. Seeing his Father age and redefining what is important to us. Finding our way back to each other. Life. What's really important. I just got approval to enter Australia last week following what seems 100 years. (Really 6 months.) Every day IS a new day! Is not just a cliche'.
Thank you Five For Fighting. Brilliant lyrics and a resounding message to the youth of today. To those so called "kids",... Carpe Diem!

This song just touches me like very few.,. a good friend if mine broke down in tears whn she heard it at her 40th birthday. She and I are both going through tough tomes. It is one great song. Wish I wrote it. I try and be optimistic because of the line late in the song "Every days a new day" However, there is sadness there too

I have been hooked on this song since the finale of JAG (which was back in 2005). For the longest time I have been trying to figure out who sung this song and to hear the entire song.

My middle school choir is singing this song. The first time we sang through it I cried. And so did almost everyone else. Just imagine, 50 middle schoolers bawling their eyes out over this song. It has been about a month of practicing it and most of us can get through it with out crying. It is such a powerful song!

Thank you for the words. I heard this song as I was driving from Florida after my mother's funeral. It felt like my dad's song to her (he had died the previous year). He was 33 and had 3 kids in 1957 and 67 when the sun was high and he was moving on to retire in Florida. I'm wiping my tears and playing the song over and over in tribute to a great man.

Has anyone seen or remember a commercial with this song that contains a yellow background and a line and the line changes shape from child to man and goes through the life cycle? I don't remember the company, probably chase because they had an ad campaign but when this song came out it was used extensively in commercials. I'd have to probably contact the band to figure out if I'm remembering this or if i just made it up in my head. it's very vivid in my mind. Can anyone help me out??
